🎉Something big is coming! Want to see what it is? + Natural Spider Deterrent for Fall

Hello, Reader,

I've been working like crazy the past few days on a project I'm SO excited about! I'm changing newsletter services (for YOU!), and creating something fresh & fun...(At least think so!;))

There are a lot of steps to this process, and I'm looking for some people who would like to be a part of my "Test Group". Would you like to be a part of it?

If you're interested, here's how to be a part of it:

  1. Sign up via the link below.
  2. Follow the prompts given at each step, and look for messages from me in your junk or spam box (Rita Joy @ Harbour Breeze Home). (It's normal for them to show up there first...)
  3. The first step you'll be asked to do is confirm your email.
  4. If you find the confirmation or any of my emails in your junk box, click on "they aren't junk" or move them to your safe sender list.
  5. Then open the emails and test all the things!
  6. I'd love to know your feedback. Did I mis-spell any words? Do the links go to the right place? Do you like the new look? Did anything seem confusing? Is the writing big enough? Are they too long? Do you like the content? At any time, you can click "reply" to one of my emails and I will see your feedback.

Oh, I'm so excited, and thank you in advance for those of you who sign up to be in my test group!!

Natural Spider Deterrent??

The first Summer we moved here to the West Coast of Canada, we lived in a tiny little cabin. Although previously I would have said I didn't have any fear of spiders at all, I had yet to meet the "wolf spider" species that consistenty showed up in our bathtub every morning!!

Little did I know that harmless spiders existed that were literally the size of mice. The first few mornings in that humble little cabin were interesting, as we tried to figure out how to get these giant (and quick moving) things out of our bathtub...

It's now 34 years later and we still live on the West Coast. But thankfully, we've never since lived in a house where such HUGE spiders show up.

However, spiders were a problem in Fall in the older houses we lived in. Someone told me that horse chestnuts deterred spiders. So, I turned them into creative decor. It seems a bit hilarious when I see it now, but I still think it helped!!

Have a fabulous day!

Rita Joy
